Mama (Christine) Bell as known throughout Bell Family Company grew up in a traditional family in the burbs of northeast Ohio with three younger brothers who she inevitably babysat. After graduating from college, her childhood obsession of playing school became a 35-year career as did motherhood to five (yes 5, including Lindsay, founder of BFC). During her middle school teaching career, she spent her free time developing and coordinating a girl’s gymnastics program as well as a Behavioral Placement program, which assists children with special needs. She also volunteered on various educational committees, and for a handful of summers was an airline ambassador assisting children that were traveling solo. Now an empty nester with her husband and recently retired, she still substitute teaches while maintaining her role as Bell Family’s Chief Screening and Retention Manager, as well as a frequent blog contributor.
